About TDBA
Dragon Boat racing first came toTacoma in 1999 with a demonstration race on the Thea Foss Waterway during the annual Maritime Fest. In May 2000 we were invited by the Fuzhou Sister City Committee and Chinese government to compete against Chinese National champions and top Asian crews in Fuzhou, China. We trained hard for two months, did our best against stiff competition, and upon our return, decided to continue paddling
